Dubai Capitals have picked Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman for the upcoming edition of the International League T20 (ILT20) in the United Arab Emirates.

Just a couple of weeks before the tournament begins, the franchise signed the left-arm seamer as a replacement for GM Ritesh. Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan and Taskin Ahmed had already been signed from the auction.

Before the ILT20 auction, Dubai had initially recruited Mustafizur as a replacement for England pacer Luke Wood. However, within a few days the franchise canceled the contract and brought in Haider Ali in his place.

Roughly a month later, Dubai Capitals have once again included Mustafizur in their squad.

The new season of the ILT20 is set to begin on December 2. The franchise finalized the deal with the Bangladesh pacer just days before the tournament gets underway.

From the auction, Shakib Al Hasan had been picked by MI Emirates at his base price of USD 40,000. Meanwhile, Sharjah Warriors secured Taskin Ahmed for USD 80,000.

As a result, three Bangladeshi cricketers are set to feature in the upcoming ILT20 season.

However, whether Taskin and Mustafizur will be allowed to play the full tournament will depend on the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the BCB, as well as the scheduling of the BPL.
