Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed is set to play for Northern Warriors in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League. The franchise confirmed the development in an official statement.

Just ahead of the tournament’s start, Warriors officially confirmed Taskin's participation through their social media channels.

Along with Taskin, Shakib Al Hasan and Saif Hassan will also feature in this year’s tournament. However, despite being picked in the draft, Nahid Rana will not be playing this season.

A new franchise, Royal Champs, has joined the T10 League this year. Ahead of the draft scheduled for 18 November, they signed Shakib.

The Bangladeshi all-rounder was roped in under the Global Legend category, alongside Angelo Mathews and Jason Roy. Shakib is expected to be available from the start of the tournament.

Meanwhile, at the 18 October draft, Aspen Stallions picked Saif from Category B. Saif, currently in excellent form, is set to join his team shortly.

Nahid Rana, who was selected from Category C and was supposed to represent Vista Riders, has been ruled out of the tournament after the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) withheld his No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the last moment.

The eight-team tournament begins on 18 November, with the final slated for 30 November.
