Despite being away from the national team setup, Shakib Al Hasan’s calendar in franchise cricket shows no signs of slowing down. After wrapping up his stint in the Canada Super Sixty tournament, the Bangladesh all-rounder has signed up for three more leagues.

He will represent Royal Champs and Houston Riders, while the third team’s name is yet to be confirmed.

The Global Cricket League in the USA kicks off on October 24 in Houston, Texas, with the final scheduled for November 2.

Shakib will feature for Houston Riders, alongside global stars such as Imran Tahir, Mohammad Nabi, Mohammad Amir, Thisara Perera, Harbhajan Singh, and Andre Fletcher.

Around the same time, Shakib is also set to play in the Indian Heaven Premier League (IHPL), starting October 25 at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar, Kashmir. The tournament will conclude on November 8.

While Shakib has confirmed his participation through a video message, details regarding his team and the number of matches he’ll play remain unconfirmed.

In addition to these commitments, Shakib will also take part in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League, this time donning the Royal Champs jersey.

In previous editions, he represented the Bangla Tigers. The 10-over tournament, running from November 18–30, will feature several new franchises this year, including Vista Riders, Aspin Stallions, Royal Champs, Ajman Titans, and Quetta Cavalry.

The upcoming edition will also see familiar sides such as Deccan Gladiators, Delhi Bulls, and Northern Warriors returning to the fold. England’s Liam Livingstone will turn out for Quetta, joined by the likes of Jason Holder, Mohammad Amir, Sikandar Raza, Imran Tahir, and UAE captain Mohammad Wasim.

The Royal Champs, meanwhile, will be coached by former Bangladesh pace bowling coach Courtney Walsh, with Angelo Mathews and Jason Roy among Shakib’s teammates.
