The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed that the Independent Inquiry Committee, formed to investigate allegations of corruption, mismanagement, and systemic failures in the 11th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), has submitted its preliminary report to the Board President.

The BCB stated that the report will be reviewed confidentially in accordance with international best practices and ICC guidelines.

No names will be disclosed at this stage to safeguard the integrity of the proceedings and the rights of all individuals and entities mentioned.

According to the BCB, the committee has proposed urgent reform measures as a prerequisite for the smooth staging of the next BPL season.

These include steps to strengthen franchise governance, enhance anti-corruption oversight, and introduce structural safeguards.

The Board further noted that the Inquiry Committee is expected to deliver its final report by the end of next month, which will provide comprehensive findings and propose structural reforms.

The BCB emphasized that it will carefully consider the committee’s recommendations and take appropriate action in due course. However, at this stage, the Board said it will refrain from making further comments regarding the preliminary report.
