Star allrounder Shakib Al Hasan, who was instrumental in the first game, failed to make an impact with either bat or ball in this match.

Batting first after losing the toss, Dubai struggled to build momentum and were restricted to just 142 runs. The top order crumbled early, losing three wickets for just 48 runs.
Opener Sediqullah Atal showed some intent with a brisk 25 off 11 balls, while Niroshan Dickwella and Rohan Mustafa both fell cheaply with 12 runs each.
Shakib, coming in with hopes of stabilizing the innings, hit a six off Mohammad Nabi but soon perished for 7 off 10 balls, caught trying another big shot.
Rain briefly interrupted play, but even after resumption, Dubai never regained rhythm. Captain Gulbadin Naib fought hard for his 31 off 27, while Jesse Bootan contributed 18 off 18. Late cameos from Dominic Drakes (11 off 9) and Aryaman Verma (5 off 6) helped them cross 140. Kais Ahmad remained unbeaten on 2.

In reply, Hobart Hurricanes made light work of the chase. Although they lost Bhanuka Rajapaksa early, Ben McDermott (48) and Alex Ross Wright (50 off 47) set the tone with a solid partnership.
Wright notched up a composed half-century before falling. Jack Doran’s unbeaten 25 then sealed the deal for Hobart with an over to spare.
With the ball, Shakib was economical in his first few overs, conceding just 10 runs in the opening two. However, he finished with figures of 0/34 from 4 overs—unable to provide the breakthrough his team needed.
The only wickets for Dubai came from Rohan Mustafa, Kais Ahmad, and Aryaman Verma, but none could stem the flow of runs or shift the momentum.
