Delhi Capitals began IPL 2025 with four straight wins, hinting at early playoff qualification. However, a string of losses in the middle of the tournament saw them crash out of the group stage.

In their final match, Delhi ended on a high note with a commanding 6-wicket win over Punjab Kings.

Batting first, Punjab posted a strong total of 206/8, led by skipper Shreyas Iyer's 53 off 34 balls and a late 44* off 16 from Marcus Stoinis.
Mustafizur Rahman stood out with the ball for Delhi, taking 3 wickets for 33 runs, while Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam claimed two each.

In reply, Delhi chased the target with three balls to spare. After a steady start by openers KL Rahul (35) and Faf du Plessis (23), Samir Rizvi anchored the chase with a brilliant unbeaten 58 off 25 balls.
