After completing the T20I series against the UAE in Dubai, Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain has rejoined his Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars, the team confirmed via social media.

Rishad is expected to feature alongside his national teammates Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz for Lahore, who secured a place in the playoffs despite finishing fourth on the league table with 11 points from 10 matches.

Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, will now face Karachi Kings in the Eliminator match on May 22 at 9 PM Bangladesh time.
A win in this crucial knockout game will advance them to the Qualifier 2, where they will take on Islamabad United, the losing team from Qualifier 1. Qualifier 2 is scheduled for May 23 in Lahore, followed by the PSL final on May 25.
In a video message shared by the franchise, Rishad said:

“Assalamu Alaikum everyone. I’m back with the Lahore Qalandars family. See you all on the field. Let’s win this (trophy) together.”

Lahore made significant roster changes as the PSL resumed. Shakib was brought in to replace Daryl Mitchell, while Bhanuka Rajapaksa came in for Tom Curran. Zimbabwean star Sikandar Raza had to depart due to national duties and was replaced by Miraz.
Rishad, who featured early in the season, missed a few matches midway but has been a valuable asset with the ball. In five matches, he has claimed nine wickets at an economy rate of 8.70.
As Lahore gears up for a do-or-die clash, all eyes will be on their international stars to deliver under pressure and guide the defending champions one step closer to retaining their title.
