“Those involved in team selection always have our best interests in mind. But as a player, sometimes it does feel disheartening—especially after being named the Man of the Tournament in the BPL,” Miraz said. “Still, I’ve taken it positively. That’s how cricket works.”

Miraz admitted that Bangladesh's recent loss to the UAE was tough to digest. “It felt bad as a player. Yes, new players are being tried with the World Cup in mind, but it’s important to make the most of those chances,” he noted.

Lahore Qalandars will face Karachi Kings in the Eliminator on May 22. Miraz hopes to make the playing XI and contribute to a win for his side. He has taken tips from fellow Bangladeshi teammate Rishad Hossain, who has already experienced playing in the PSL.
