Initially unavailable due to his inclusion in the Bangladesh Test squad for the Zimbabwe series, Rana had to wait before joining the PSL campaign.
"Alhamdulillah, it feels great. This is my first time going abroad to play in a franchise league. It’s definitely a new experience. I will try to learn new things. I don't set my goals beforehand; I will try to perform well match by match." Rana said at the airport before leaving.

With national duties now behind him, the promising pacer is set to finally make his debut in the prestigious T20 league.

This season, three Bangladeshi cricketers were picked for the PSL. However, Litton Das had to return home early due to injury before the tournament began.
Meanwhile, leg-spinner Rishad Hossain has been actively playing for Lahore Qalandars and is making an impression.
Rana’s arrival is expected to bolster the pace attack of Peshawar Zalmi in the remaining fixtures of PSL 2025.
