Canada launching new franchise league as two Bangladeshi registered along with 1,300 cricketers

The League has already seen registration from more than 1,300 cricketers across 34 countries, including Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Tanzid Hasan Tamim, according to Cricbuzz.

Though the total number of Bangladeshi participants wasn’t specified, the inclusion of Miraz and Tamim signals growing interest among Tigers in global franchise leagues.
The men’s player registration list boasts several international stars, such as Finn Allen, Sikandar Raza, Naseem Shah, Alex Hales, Shamar Joseph, Jason Roy, Keshav Maharaj, Tim Southee, Tim Seifert, Jimmy Neesham, Azam Khan, Lungi Ngidi, Rilee Rossouw, Chris Lynn, Jason Holder, Andre Fletcher, Kyle Mayers, Tabraiz Shamsi, Martin Guptill, Dawid Malan, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Chandrapaul Hemraj, and Gudakesh Motie.

The women’s draft pool is equally impressive with names like Maddy Green, Fran Jonas, Lea Tahuhu, Rosemary Mair, Tazmin Brits, Amy Smith, Lauren Winfield-Hill, Shabnim Ismail, Deandra Dottin, Sinalo Jafta, and Fatima Sana Khan, among others.
Kyle Coetzer, former Scottish captain and assistant director of the tournament, expressed excitement over the widespread interest.
