Former Pakistan star caught in fixing storm

Former Pakistan international player Hasan Raza has been caught in the middle of a spot-fixing scandal by Al Jazeera. The news channel conducted a sting operation wherein their reporters acted as undercover businessmen that wanted to facilitate rigged matches in T20 tournaments.
Along with Hasan Raza, another cricketer Robin Morris – who played for Mumbai Champs in the now defunct Indian Cricket League – was mixed in the act and was actually the man doing all the talking in the video revealed by the news channel.
Al Jazeera tried to contact Hasan Raza after releasing their video but the former Pakistan international refrained from commenting. Morris, meanwhile, "denies any wrongdoing" and claimed that the channel invited him "to audition for, and act in, a commercial movie 'for public entertainment'."

In the snippet revealed by Al Jazeera, Morris was seen as claiming that he will set up a tournament with B and C grade players with the sole purpose of match-fixing and subsequently earn money through betting.
He added that he plans to take such tournaments from Dubai to Hong Kong, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.
This video was released on the same day as Al Jazeera’s allegations towards Galle pitch curator for reportedly preparing a surface according to the wishes of a person involved in betting in 2016 against Australia and 2017 against India.
