The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has approved a new Non-Participation and Withdrawal clause in the rules and regulations governing all leagues under the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM).

The new rule, which will take effect from the upcoming Dhaka Premier Division, First Division, Second Division, Third Division, and Third Division Qualifying Leagues, is aimed at ensuring greater accountability and discipline among participating clubs.

Non-Participation and Withdrawal

• If any team fails to participate in the League, either in full or partially, including complete withdrawal from the competition after its commencement, such action shall result in the immediate disqualification and relegation of the defaulting team, with no entitlement to resume participation in the ongoing League.

• If the defaulting team has already participated in one or more matches prior to its withdrawal or disqualification, full points from those matches shall be awarded to the respective opponents, irrespective of the original match results.

• All other participating teams scheduled to play against the defaulting team after its disqualification shall automatically be awarded full points for those fixtures.

• This clause is not applicable to any team that has officially forfeited participation prior to the commencement of the League.

• If two or more teams are relegated as a result of withdrawal or non-participation, the Relegation League shall not be held for that season.

• The number of teams to be promoted for the 2026–27 season shall be determined by the CCDM based on the number of teams relegated from the 2025–26 Leagues under this provision.
