Skipper Mahmudullah wants better performance from his batting unit despite earning their first win in the ongoing BCB President’s Cup.
Mahmudullah XI earned their first win as they Tamim XI by five wickets in the second match of the BCB President’s Cup at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Chasing a modest target of 104, Mahmudullah XI had an early wobble as they were reduced to 13-3 before staging a good fightback to race to the victory in 27 overs, making 106-5.
‘’I think we had some shortcomings in the batting department in the first match while the bowlers did well. That's why the result was not on our favour. The bowlers did well today as well as the fielding was good. But I still think we need to do more work with batting. We are losing wickets in the beginning which was happened in the first match also,’’ Mahmudullah said in the post match.
‘’Hopefully, this things will improve in the upcoming matches. I think the pitch was good. At first some balls were swinging, there was dew, sometimes it was raining,’’ he siad.
‘’That’s why bowlers get some extra benefits. But that can't be an excuse. I think the more skills our batsmen can apply, the more runs will be added to the scoreboard,’’ he said.
