Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli took to his official Twitter handle to share his excitement for IPL 2020, which is set to take place in the UAE from September 19.

Ever since the T20 World Cup 2020 was postponed by the ICC, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been working tirelessly in order to host this year’s IPL edition. IPL 2020 was set to be held from March 29, however, the COVID-19 pandemic saw the league being postponed twice.

Nonetheless, the IPL 13 is now back on track as the BCCI has announced its commencement as well as the summit clash's date for the upcoming edition. However, the T20 league will be held outside India for the third time, in the UAE, due to the advent of the COVID-19 crisis nationwide.

Since this news broke out, the excitement among cricket fans, experts of the game, former as well as active cricketers knows no boundaries.

With each passing day, active cricketers are sharing social media posts to share their excitement for this year's IPL, which will serve as a huge sigh of relief amid the COVID-19 scare.

After Rohit Sharma shared that he is willing to run to the airport to catch a plane for the UAE, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli took to his official Twitter handle sharing his excitement.

He shared two pictures, one with his close RCB friend AB de Villiers and the other with the whole RCB unit, as he awaits the tournament's commencement. Check out the post from the Indian skipper:

It goes without saying that RCB have been one of the unluckiest franchises in the tournament’s history. Having played the final on as many as three occasions, in 2009, 2011, 2016, they are yet to lift their maiden IPL championship. Moreover, they have finished at the bottom half of the points table in their last three IPL campaigns.

Thus, Kohli & Co. will be eager to get used to the conditions in UAE as soon as possible and come out with all guns blazing to kick off their IPL 2020 campaign in style. Kohli, who finished with 464 runs in IPL 2019 and as RCB's best batsman, has a tough task ahead to lead his side to their first IPL title.
