BCB XI make it tough for Zimbabwe batsman

The BCB XI take control of the game in the post-tea session after the Zimbabweans got off to a great start and finished the day on 290/7  at the BKSP-3 in Savar today ahead of the lone Test against Bangladesh, scheduled to begin on February 22.


Zimbabwe got off to a great start before the lunch interval. Opening batsman Prince Masvaure and Kevin Kasuza shared a 105 runs partnership before captain Al Amin Jnr removed Prince Masvaure for 45 runs.


Kevin Kasuza was the highest scorer for Zimbabwe.and was run out in the match. He scored 70 runs.


The BCB XI got back into the game the picking up six wickets in the post team session and leaving the Zimbabweans at 183 for six before Tea. Shahadat Hossain was the most impressive during the session as the off-spinner scalped three of the wickets that fell for just five runs during the session.

Zimbabwe came back strongly in the last session of the day losing just one wicket and scoring 108 runs.


An unbeaten 65 runs partnership in the seventh wicket between Carl Mumba and Ainsley Ndlovu has helped win the last session.


Carl Mumba was not out on 54 runs and Ainsley Ndlovu was batting on 25 runs.,


Shahadat Hossain was the most impressive bowler for BCB XI. The off-spinner picked up three wickets and Al Amin Jnr also picked up two wickets.
