Bangladesh assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin is set to step down from his role, although he will remain with the team until the upcoming home series against Ireland is completed.

Salahuddin, who joined the national setup on November 5 with a contract running until the 2027 World Cup, has decided to resign for personal reasons after completing one year with the team.

Salahuddin has been in charge of the batting department since the board parted ways with David Hemp, but the team’s recent poor form has put him under scrutiny.

In response, the BCB has appointed Mohammad Ashraful as the batting coach for the Ireland series.
