Mustafizur Rahman produced a masterclass in tight bowling during the first T20I against Pakistan, conceding just 6 runs in his full quota of 4 overs while picking up 2 wickets. This performance now stands as the most economical four-over spell ever by a Bangladeshi bowler in T20 Internationals.

Previously, Mustafizur had delivered another outstanding spell in the 2024 T20 World Cup against Nepal, where he took 3 wickets for just 7 runs—an economy rate of 1.75.

That performance was matched by leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, who also bowled with an economy of 1.75, conceding 7 runs in 4 overs against the USA in the same tournament.
Another standout came from pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib, who stunned Nepal with figures of 4 for 7 in 4 overs, also at an economy rate of 1.75 during the World Cup.

However, Mustafizur’s latest spell of 2 for 6 now edges ahead as the most economical, with an extraordinary economy rate of just 1.50.
