BCB’s senior physician, Dr. Debashis Chowdhury, confirmed that Taskin is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a left Achilles tendon injury and will not be available for the series.
Meanwhile, pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib has earned his maiden Test call-up. The 22-year-old has already represented Bangladesh in 28 white-ball matches but is yet to make his debut in the longer format.

The first Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will get underway at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on April 20, while the second Test will begin on April 28 at the Bir Shrestha Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram.
