Shakib unsold for second time in IPL auction

Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan remained unsold for the second time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction. That means the southpaw won't be seen in this year's IPL.
Five Bangladesh cricketers registered for this year's IPL auction, which include Liton Das, Shakib, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam and Mustafizur Rahman.
Mustafizur was the only player from Bangladesh to get a chance to a team. He was bought by Delhi Capitals at the base price of 2 crore.

Meanwhile, the other three Bangladesh cricketers, Taskin, Shoriful and Liton were not named in the auction.The base price was 50 lakh rupees for them.
Despite being in a fine form Shakib could not find a team. The experienced all-rounder has been adjudged as Man of the Match in five of the last five matches of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Shakib played for Kolkata in the last season of IPL as he was roped by KKR for Rs 3 crore 20 lakh. Although Shakib could not perform well in the previous season.
Shakib scored 47 runs in 8 matches in the season and managed to pick only 4 wickets. Overall, Shakib has played 71 matches, he took 63 wickets and made 793 runs in IPL.
