Age-level screening through VDO- BCB

Bangladesh Cricket Board decided to hold the initial selection for the upcoming Under-14, 16 and 18 through VDO’s, said Bangladesh Cricket Board official.
The decision was taken after BCB managed to successfully completing a pilot project in Moulvibazar where they selected the age level cricketers through this manner.
Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal said that board has taken this decision due to corona pandemic.
Welcome guys, due to corona pandemic board decided to complete the initial selection of Under 14,16 and 18 through VDO,’’ Tamim was quoted in a VDO sent by BCB.

Bangladesh leading batsman Mushfiqur Rahim said that the young cricketers need to provide the VDO and later they will be selected.
‘’Batting bowling or wicket keeping whatever area you are good just make a VDO and sent it to the whatsapp group in your district,’’
‘’You can WhatsApp or email to divisional or district coaches,’’ he said.
BCB game development manager AEM Kawser said that they have taken the initiated to avoid corona.
‘’We have done a pilot program in Moulovi Bazar successfully. We want to do this all over the country in that way,’’ said Kawser.
‘’This will not happen only by VDO as there are 500-600 participants in each of the three age level group we cannot do it by taking their test in the field as this is not acceptable in this current situation,’’ he said.
‘’Firstly they will send it in two groups and later they will screened and we will take a test. After screening we are expecting around 35 to 40 cricketers in each group,’’ he added.
