Tamim Iqbal said on Monday that he is looking forward to take on Mahmudullah XI in the ongoing BCB President’s Cup as they are well prepared to take up the challenge.
Mahmudullah XI will take on Tamim XI in the second match of the BCB President’s Cup tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium as they are eyeing to make a bounce back from the losing way.
Mahmudullah Riyad’s side conceded a four-wicket defeat to Nazmul Hossain Shanto-led Nazmul XI on Sunday after showing a pretty ordinary batting display and will be hoping not to make a similar mistake when they take on the opposition at 1.30 PM.

The match will be streamed live on the official facebook page of BCB and Youtube Channel.
While it will be the second match for the Mahmudullah XI, led by Mahmudullah Riyad, it will be the opening match for Tamim Iqbal-led Tamim XI.
‘’This is our first match and its very good for us we have prepared well. We have practiced for two extra days. I had the chance to practice with some of the cricketers of the Under-19 team. The tournament will be high voltage one and we are expecting a good match tomorrow,’’ said Tamim on Monday
“The team who will play well on the day, will win the match,” Tamim said ahead of the tournament. “Cricket has returned to the ground after a long time, so it will be a competitive tournament. A total of 50/60 players will play here and I think, we can gain many things on Individual level from this tournament. For youngsters it’s a good platform to showcase their talent,” concluded Tamim.
Tamim said it would be a competitive tournament where his side won’t leave an give an inch to become champions.
“Our main target is to clinch the trophy. But at the end, he who will play better on the day will become champions. We will miss the crowd who won’t be able to be present here due to the pandemic. Our target is to play our best cricket,” he added.
