Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah said that he ecstatic to have the chance to play competitive cricket after a long time as something was missing and added that he is confident with his team and eyeing to be champion.

BCB President's Cup -- a three-team 50-over tournament starting from tomorrow at the SBNS, will be  a test case for the board ahead of launching domestic cricket in a broader way.

Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah and Nazmul Hasan will lead respective sides.

‘’It feels good because we are returning to the field. We were practicing for last few days but there was something missing but now competitive cricket is starting and I am feeling good,’’ said Mahmudullah.

‘’Because at the end of the day it is our job to play cricket and our love as well so it feels good from there. Obviously there is a hope to become the champion as we have a balanced side and the biggest thing is that probably the most promising and experienced players in our country  who are playing in this tournament,’’ he said.

Young skipper Nazmul Hasan said he is eyeing to learn as much as possible from the tournament while added that he is expecting Mushfiqur Rahim to fire in the competition.

‘’He [Mushfiqur] can make a big impact on the team. I expect a lot from him. We all know how dedicated he is to his game. Hopefully something good will happen,’’ he said.
