BCB expect special permission for Radford

Bangladesh Cricket Board officials said on Saturday that they are hopeful to get government approval so that his mandatory 14-day quarantine period is reduced so that it would pave way for Radford to be available with their charges from the earliest possible time.


Ryan Cook and Ottis Gibson will be in-charge of Tamim XI while Ottis Gibson will be head coach of Mahmudullah XI while Nazmul XI will be guided by Toby Radford, who is expected to arrive tonight.

Radford will need special permission from the Directorate General of Health Services as there is a rule in place that mandates foreign travellers to go through 14-day quarantine before resuming work in the country.


BCB officials said that they are expecting to get government approval.


‘’We are expecting to government approval so that his mandatory 14-day quarantine period is reduced as it will allow him to guide his charges in the BCB President Cup from the earliest possible time,’’ said BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury.


Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo will act as technical director in the competition and will be involve with all the side in the competition.


Earlier, BCB appointed Radford as their High Performance (HP) coach. Radford will replace Simon Helmut as the HP coach of the BCB.
