Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director and its High performance (HP) Chairman Naimur Rahman Durjoy said they are mulling to organize a corporate league during the big gap of time if the scheduled tour of the High performance (HP) to Sri Lanka is cancelled.
“We are not thinking of organizing a Roya League that means our domestic league such as Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL). As there is a matter of security, our board has a matter of preparation, so we can organize those which are the board’s control,” Daimur Rahman said.

“We have two-three teams, High Performance (HP) team, Under-19 Team. If we can bring all our contracted players together with all the players, we can then organise a tournament in such a situation,” Durjoy told Cricfrenzy.com.
“You know it’ll be tough for the clubs. We have communicated with the clubs from the Cricketers’ Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB). In that case, if the corporate houses come forward and cooperate with us, the corporate league could be held,” he added.
When asked about the possibility of the cancellation of the tour in Sri Lanka, HP Chairman said they have plans to start a camp for HP if the series is finally cancelled.
“The series in Sri Lanka was a bilateral series. If that is not held, we have planned to start our camp. As Bangladesh Under-19 is holding their camp at BKSP, we can do our camp after the end of the Under-19 camp. Normally HP camp is held at the National Cricket Academy, we have that opportunity to organise there,” Durjoy replied.
“The ground is not a problem. We have a string of grounds which are running by the board. We have to think about the accommodation. It will be better if we can organize it near to the field,” he added.
