Former Indian spinner and renowned cricket analyst Akash Chopra has said that he believes Bangladesh off-spinner Mehedi Hasan can be a good replacement of experienced bowler Harbajan Singh in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad in the upcoming Indian Premier League.
Many also believe that the CSK will have a tough time in finding a replacement for veteran bowler Harbhajan Singh, who announced that he will not take part in the upcoming edition of IPL which is slated to take place in the UAE this month.
Harbhajan’s announcement came last week, just a few days after recently retired Indian middle-order batsman Suresh Raina pulled out of IPL 2020 and returned home citing “personal reasons”.
"Bangladesh Mehedi Hasan Miraj is a utility cricketer and I like him a lot as he bowls and bats well and I feel he is perfect for CSK [as Harbajan replacement]," Akash Chopra was quoted on his YouTube channel recently.
The 13th edition of IPL will kick off from September 19th and MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings will be looking to win their fourth IPL title this year as well.
