Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Games Development is yet to form the new set-up of the Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket Team for the upcoming ACC Under-19 Asia Cup-2020.
But the BCB has started their procedure to form the new build-up for the tournament. They, meanwhile, organised a four-week residential camp at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) picking up 47 players from Youth Cricket League (YCL).
The BCB Games Development will trim the squad with the help of the age-group selectors. Before trimming the extended squad, they will organise a string of trial matches.

They will select 24-26 from the extended 47-players through playing those trial matches. After forming the primary team, they will arrange another camp for the players and that will be their formal activities for the youth Asia Cup.
Regarding the new set-up, BCB Games Development senior national manager AEM Kawser said they will formally begin their activities after forming the 24-player primary squad.
“Initially we called 45 players from the Youth Cricket League (YCL). Later we added two other talented players to the extended squad that meant the number of squad players was 47. We’ll whittle down the squad to 24-26 from 47 after September 18,” AEM Kawser said.
“We will call the 24-26 players for another camp. We will start our activities formally with the squad,” Kawser told Cricfrenzy.com.
In addition, the ninth edition for the youth cricket is scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in November with the participation of the eight teams including five full members, hosts and two qualifiers, who are yet to finalise. The tournament will be held over 50-over format.
