Bangladesh’s ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan did not return from the United States on Monday. There were several media reports suggested that Shakib will be returning home on August 31 to resume his cricketing career.
According to a family member of the cricketer who sought anonymity, Shakib is on his way back and he can reach any time. Shakib, who has now been serving a year-long ban for hiding conversations with a bookmaker, is free to resume his international cricket from October 29.

Before his return, Shakib will prepare himself at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan under his childhood mentors, Nazmul Abedin Fahim and Mohammad Salauddin.
Shakib left for the USA to join his wife and daughter in late March during the early stage of coronavirus outbreak in Bangladesh. During his stay at the USA, he experienced fatherhood for the second time and he was also engaged in various welfare activities through his Shakib Al Hasan foundation.
The experienced all-rounder will be available to play in the second Test of the three-match series in Sri Lanka which is scheduled to take place in October-November and if the hints of Bangladesh Cricket Board’s president Nazmul Hasan are to be believed Shakib could turn up for the Tigers immediately after his ban ends.
