Taskin works for fitness and speed as well to play in all formats

Bangladesh speedster Taskin Ahmed said he has set his own target to make his proper fitness and bowl consistently at the speed of 140mph.
Taskin said he is working to develop his fitness because it’s possible to bowl at the speed of 140mph if he has adequate fitness for fast bowling.
“I am a fast bowler, and if I bowl at 130mph, the selectors will not think, even take me in the team,” said Taskin Ahmed.
“I have to consistently bowl at the speed of 140mph. That is my goal now. For this reason I am improving my fitness. I also have to prepare mentally so that I can bowl continuously at the speed of 140mph,” Taskin told in a facebook live chat programme with Cricfrenzy.com.
“I am trying to control it too. I hope these will help me in the days ahead,” he added.
Taskin lost many chances due to his untimely injury. He played last time for the national team in March 2018 against Sri Lanka. He was recuperated and performed stunningly in BPL, the performance that drew attention of the selectors and was named for the New Zealand tour but he sustained another serious injury just few days before the departure.
Since then, he has been attempting his best to recover his fitness. As of now, he is trying to make him fit and be consistent so that he can play across the formats of games.
“In the last one and half-a- year, I got a chance in the squad but did not play in the match. I was not consistent in terms of fitness and speed due to my injury,” the 25-year-old paceman said.
“Many people including the coaching staff did not want to take me in the team for this reason. I set my goal to be fit and consistent at that time so that I can play in three formats,” he said further.
“I am moving forward with this goal. Injury can happen to anyone at any time. I am trying my best to bowl as well as possible,” he concluded.
