Liton, Rubel to join BCB's fourth-phase 'Individual Training Sessions

Wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Kumar Das and pacer Rubel Hossain are expected to join the fourth phase individual training sessions as new players at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur.


Even though the training session starts today, Liton will be seen in training from August 25.


The Individual Training Sessions, organized by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to bring their players back to the cricket field after a lengthy corona-enforced layoff have resumed with a day break at different venues across the country today.

This time BCB Cricket Operations extended ‘Individual Training Schedule’ for the next six days (from August 22 to August 27).


The BCB has developed a combined training module for both the male and women’s national teams’ players with the help of the national team physiotherapist Julian Calefato and BCB medical department.


A total of 41 players including 10 women’s cricketers will take part in the individual training module. The crucial cog of Bangladesh team-Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal, Mominul Haque, Mahmuduallah Riyad, Soumya Sarker will remain with the other players on the opening day.


They held their batting, running and gym session at the indoors and gymnasium of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur.


At the National Cricket Academy (NCA) ground, the bowlers including Al Amin Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Mahedi Hasan Rana, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain, Taijul Islam, Aminul Islam Biplob, couple with Jahanara Alam, Nahida Akhter and Lata Mondol will be seen doing bowling, running and gym sessions.


The players out of Dhaka will be seen pouring their sweats at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadiumin Chattogram, Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet, Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna, Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi, Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura and Rangpur Cricket Garden in Rangpur on the same day.
