Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal has said that forced long layoff due to coronavirus as mentally strenuous and he is relieved to return back to the field as well.
Tamim, who recently returned to the country from London after receiving medical checkup for his severe intestinal pain, remained in self-quarantine and as a result, he has joined the individual training session late.

"To be honest this four-month was very tough. We were at home with our family but we have mental pressure because we could not go out of our house," said Tamim on Monday.
"Normally we get seven to eight days off after one tour and we can go somewhere or do something. But these four months our family was concerned with our health issue. No, finally cricket is beginning and it’s a good thing as we love it," he said adding that he was not as rusty in his batting as he expected.
"Basically, I have practised after a long time around four to five months gap. Unexpectedly my batting was not as disappointing as I was expecting. I think the batting is quite ok and the fitness is also reasonable. But there is a difference between running in the field and doing it in the treadmill. Perhaps it will take a couple of weeks but the way we are following the rules it is very positive and I hope it will move in this direction. We know when our cricket will start and we are preparing accordingly to give our best," he concluded.
