Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal and pacer Mustafizur Rahman coupled with some other players are expected to join the third phase of the individual practice sessions that will start at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur tomorrow with a two-day break.
The training session at all designated venues will begin at 9:00am. This time BCB has prepared a five-day schedule for the players.
The board has brought national women’s team players under the same programme but they have appointed a women’s trainer Sultana Yesmin Boishakhi for the players to look after them during their training programme.
Around 40 players including 20 in Dhaka will take part in the opening day sessions. Dhaka phase will start with pace all-rounder Soumya Sarkar, who joined the training from the second phase that kicked off after the holy Eid vacation.

Tamim Iqbal remains fourth in the initial day roster just after Soumya, wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim and all-rounder Mahmuduallah Riyad.
Pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman, who was in his home village in Satkhira for the lockdown for the COVID-19, returned to Dhaka on August 7, a day before the start of the second phase to join the ongoing individual practice sessions.
Later Mustafiz didn’t join that time despite being confirmed because he had needed to do some work before joining the session for which he will join from the next slot of the third phase.
Tamim, who recently returned to the country from London after receiving medical checkup for his severe intestinal pain, remained in self-quarantine since then.
Mashrafe, on the other hand, who was diagnosed with coronavirus, also remained in home quarantine. He wanted to join the first phase but the positive result in coronavirus dented his hopes.
Initially, a total of 10 players registered their names to have individual practice but only four turned up for the first phase session but the number of the participating players reached 14 across the country’s five designated venues.
The players held their practice sessions maintaining the standard safety rules and health protocol at those venues in Dhaka, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, Bogura and Chattogram.
