Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan celebrated the festival of Eid-ul-Azha with his wife Shishir and beloved daughters-Alaina Hasan Abri and newly-born Errum Hasan in the United States of America (USA).

Shakib’s wife is quite active on social media and shares posts with her family members on a regular basis. Shishir took to Instagram to reveal the gift she received from her husband on Saturday, the day of holy Eid.

The couple had tied the knot in 12-12-2012. Shakib lives in the USA right now. He was in Bangladesh during the lockdown and later flew back in April. The pair was blessed with their second baby child a few months back.

The veteran Bangladesh all-rounder has been away from competitive cricket since October 2019 as he was banned by ICC for two years including a suspended year for failing to report the fixing approaches made by bookie.

As per the release, he was approached twice during the tri-series in 2018. During IPL 2018, Shakib was again approached for spot-fixing.

He did not report any of these approaches and was banned for two years. ICC suspended one-year punishment and Shakib will be allowed to return in October this year. The ban saw him miss the India tour, which included the historic pink-ball Test at iconic Eden Gardens.

Shakib was confirmed to miss the T20 World Cup but this year’s edition has been cancelled. He is up for grabs for selection next year. Shakib was Bangladesh’s star-performer in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England, where he scored 606 runs and scalped 11 wickets from just eight outings.

The veteran cricketer had recently opened up on his ban and had asked others to learn from his cutting experiences.

“It could have happened to someone else and I would have learned from him, but it happened to me so other people can learn from me. I wanted to be honest from the first day. I didn’t hide anything from the guys when they were asking me questions. I’ll say the straightforward things. I made mistakes. It shouldn’t happen for a player like me. I apologised for it, and I want to move forward, I want everyone to learn from it and never make these mistakes,” Shakib Al Hasan told ESPNcricinfo’s Cricketbaazi series.

Former Bangladesh captain has played 56 Tests, 206 ODIs and 76 T20Is so far. He often plays franchise cricket across the world, where he last represented Barbados Tridents in CPL 2019.
