Bangladesh Krira Shikha Prothistan (BKSP) authority allowed not having any big congregation at their institution premises during the escalating coronavirus pandemic in the country.
For this, they didn’t respond positively to the letter of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
BCB Games Development wanted to hold a conditioning camp for its newly-form Bangladesh preliminary Under-19 squad at BKSP ahead of their preparation for the next ICC Under19 Cricket World Cup.

They may go out of Dhak to have their conditioning camp. This time they can hold it at the picturesque Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
The ongoing corona pegged back Bangladesh for at least five months. They have 16 months left it for which the Team management is desperate to start it in mid August. Their first priority was BKSP as there were residential hostels at BKSP.
“I also held talks with the BKSP Director General, who informed me that they didn’t allow the Football and Archery Federation before us. In such a situation, it looks odd if we are allowed to practice here,” said BCB Games Development Chairman Khaled Mahmud Sujon.
“Moreover, around 1000 people live inside the BKSP. They don’t want to put them in danger. Despite that, I request him to rethink the matter. Along with that, selecting alternative venues is also going on,” Sujon told Cricfrenzy.com.
When asked about Home of Cricket, Games Development Chairman said, “The congregation at Mirpur will not be increased if the national team and High Performance (HP) will start their training camp. But we want to start the practice of the Under-19 team at any rate within August 16-17. Normally we have delayed some more months due to the corona.”
“We’re thinking of booking the entire motel in Sylhet. If we get it, we will make arrangements for the isolation of the players in Sylhet,” he informed.
