Former Bangladesh Pace Bowling Coach Courtney Walsh feels that selectors need to be consistent more with the pacers if they want to develop them in the long run.
After the axing of Steve Rhodes following the World Cup debacle, the chopping blade has fallen on Courtney Walsh.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said they are not extending their contract with the pace bowling coach that ended after the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England. This announcement came a day after BCB parted ways with head coach Steve Rhodes though his contract ran until the ICC World Twenty20 in 2020.

“I was not even thinking about a renewal of contract as I could not get any information to even plan a bowling camp,” said Courtney Walsh.
“I was not even thinking about a renewal of contract,” Walsh told a local English daily recently.
“I had a good stint and we had some success. The team played well but would have loved to see a bit more consistency from the fast bowlers. But to be fair I did not think they were given the chance to gain the experience and the exposure,” he added.
He further claimed that pacers should give more chances to put on valuable experience for doing well in international cricket which is not so easy to do well.
“There is no major problem but the bowlers need to be given a chance so they can gain valuable experience. One game here and one there won't help them to develop,” the West Indian great bowler said.
