Bangladesh mercurial all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will return to practice from the next month as he told about his plan to a leading cricket website.

Shakib is currently serving a year-long ban since last October after accepting three charges of breaching the ICC anti-corruption code of conduct for failing to report corrupt approaches in two tournaments in 2018.

Shakib is currently residing in the USA with his family during the coronavirus pandemic period and doing some gym work in his home.

Shakib is expected to visit England to resume his practice before making a comeback in the national team

“I’m planning to practice from next month. I’ve three months to prepare myself well. I haven't done anything in so many days. These three months aren’t enough to take myself to the ideal shape for cricket. That’s the plan for now,” Shakib was quoted in an interview on ESPNcricinfo’s Cricketbaazi series, hosted by Deep Dasgupta on Friday.

“The next two weeks I will be spending my time caring for the girls and with my family. Then I’ll focus on cricket,” he added.

Shakib last played in an international match against Afghanistan in September last year at home territory. He was also the best in the last match in international cricket. After that, Shakib was away from the game for about 10 months
