It’s been more than a week since Mashrafe won the war against the deadly virus but he is not feeling up to the mark now. But the Narail-Express dubbed bowler is hoping to start his training and get back to his shape after Eid.

“I haven’t fully recovered yet. Hopefully I could start training again after Eid,” Mashrafe Bin Mortaza told an English daily on Wednesday from Narail, where he shifted with his wife for the time being just after getting freed from the clutches of the coronavirus.

The veteran pace bowler last played in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.Due to the pandemic of the COVID-19, Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] halted the league on March 26.

Before getting infected by the coronavirus, Mashrafe spent busy times working for the distressed and poor people in the constituency area to make them aware and provide necessary help towards them.

However, left-arm spinner Nazmul Islam Apu was infected by the contagious virus and also got COVID-19 negative on July 1after which he has already returned to practice.

Despite facing some minor health issues, Nazmul is constantly trying to do his training along with Rony Talukder and some other cricketers at the Osmani Powro Stadium in Narayanganj.

“I’ve started practicing but facing some difficulties like shortness of breath, weakness etc. Rony Talukder, me and some other cricketers who play in the first division have started training under a trainer in Narayanganj,” Nazmul Islam said.
