Bangladesh women team’s all-rounder Rumana Ahmed said the coronavirus break will not take away her skill level after doing a training session with sports psychologist Azhar Ali Khan.
There are a lot of talks in the cricketing arena about how and how long forced breaks of Covid-19 will hamper cricketing progress as nobody has ever experienced this long break in their career.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has arranged a training session for the women’s team players a couple of days back after which all-rounder Rumana Ahmed said she is delighted with the outcome of the sessions.
“I’ve been practicing cricket for more than 10 years. Even if I sit for 5 months now, I’ll forget everything. It can't happen,” said Rumana Ahmed, who played a vital role behind Bangladesh historic Asia Cup triumph in 2018.
“The psychologist also said we think a lot about what will happen. He said fear destroys life. He also said we need to believe in ourselves without being afraid,” Rumana told Cricfrenzy.com.
The women team also said they needed this kind of training to get them motivated after the long covid-19 break
“This kind of class will definitely help us a lot at this time. Earlier in 2014, he took a class. Doing yoga, giving the world of mind, emotional support; these are good things. Many of us will go ahead mentally. We’re very happy because we needed it so much,” she concluded.
