The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) initially allowed players to hold individual practice at four different venues although they have made ready eight venues all over the country.

The four stadiums which will be opened for the players to have training from Sunday are Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Dhaka, Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) in Chittagong, Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium (SANS) in Khulna and Sylhet Divisional Stadium (SDS) in Sylhet.

It is learnt from the BCB sources that Mushfiqur Rahim, Imrul Kayes and Shafiul Islam will hold their practice at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz, offspinner cum middle-order batsman Mehdi Hasan and Nurul Hasan Sohan will practice at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna, while two fast bowlers Syed Khaled Ahmed, Ebadat Hossain Chowdhury at Sylhet Stadium and offspinner Nayeem Hasan at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

In this phase, cricketers can do only physical training and gym work.

BCB director and its Cricket Operations Committee Chairman Akram Khan, who has given a charge of overseeing and supervising the players’ activities of the national team, has confirmed the news of the corona-period individual practice sessions at three different venues in the country.

“The venue and gymnasium were ready. And some cricketers have also shown their enthusiasm to have their individual practice after a long lull. And so we’re giving the opportunity to practice on a personal level from next Sunday,” Akram Khan said

“A total of nine national level cricketers have agreed to practice on their own initiative in four stadiums,” Khan told Cricfrenzy.com, one of the leading web portals of the country.

However, the country’s top stars, especially three captains in three formats - Mominul Haque (Test), Tamim Iqbal (ODI) and Mahmudullah Riyad (T20) will continue to do their practice at home even if they are staying in Dhaka currently.
