Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said on Tuesday that they have decided to open their doors for cricketers to use their facilities from next week if they want to have individual train sessions in Mirpur.
Citing safety concerns, BCB had turned down requests from leading cricketers in the country to resume personal training at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on June 4.
Mushfiqur Rahim was one of the few cricketers who approached the BCB to have started individual practice but the board was reluctant to allow them to hold their individual training session as they were ready yet to complete their facilities disinfecting.

To ensure a swift resumption of on-field activities when the cricketing shutdown ends, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is continuing the maintenance of eight of its international and first-class stadiums across the country, said the board in a media release on June 2.
However, Mushfiqur Rahim revealed through social media platforms of having started training individually in order to keep him fit, braving the growing fears of the highly contagious virus that suspended all forms of sports activities for the last four months owing to the corona virus outbreak.
Mushfiq in a video was seen batting, rolling and planking besides running at facilities owned by Fortis Sports Club, located at Badda in the capital.
“The fact is that we’ve already prepared our facilities. This is because when the situation gets normal, we’ll not waste extra time to prepare everything. We’ve everything ready. As we see that the players are practicing outside, even though we’re discouraging seeing the current situation, but if they want then they can at least use our facilities at their own will, at their own risk [ from next week],” said BCB chief executive officer (CEO) Nizamuddin Chowdhury..
“They can do it here if they want. In that case, we’ll tell our cricket operations. Cricket Operations will talk to the medical committee to fix their schedule and will see how they could comply with the hygiene rules although we’re still discouraging it,” Chowdhury told Cricfrenzy.com.
