Biplob may go under knife for lengthy sinusitis problem

Bangladesh leg-spinner Aminul Islam Biplob may go under the knife if his sinusitis problem is not cured by the medication within the next half-a-month said Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) doctor on Tuesday.
Aminul has been suffering from breathing problems for so long due to his sinusitis problem. As a result, he is going under medication at the moment in the Apollo Hospital under an ENT specialist.
Regarding the matter of Biplob, BCB Chief Physician Dr Debashis Chowdhury said that Biplob might have to go under the knife if he is not cured within the next 15 days.
“Biplob [ Aminul Islam] has been suffering from sinusitis for quite some time. And now he is getting treatment under an ENT specialist in Apollo Hospital,” Dr Debashis Chowdhury said.
“We need to have an operation if his problem is not cured in the next 15 days,” Chowdhury told Cricfrenzy.com.
But Aminul Islam himself admitted that he is feeling better after taking the medication.
“I have had a sinusitis problem for a long time. As of now, I am treating in Apollo for couple of days as per the suggestion of the BCB doctors,” said Aminul Islam.
“The doctors gave me some medication after which I’m now feeling better. After a few days I’ll meet the doctor again. And he’ll then suggest what is my next course of action after assessing my improvement,” Islam added.
Earlier, Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) newly-introduced COVID-19 Well-being app got Aminul and Saifuddin in Red zone, the facts that raised a big concern over their health.
It’s not that the cricketers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 but the app found one or two negative answers from the duo. A total of 18 questions were installed in the app and those answers will determine which zone the cricketers are at this moment.
While Aminul was in the red zone for his breathing problem, Saifuddin was having fever but the BCB physician insisted he is much better right now.
“He was having fever and cough for 10 to 12 days but now he has recovered on his own. So there is no need to worry,” Debashis said of Mohammad Saifuddin.
