Former Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Saber Hossain Chowdhury is utterly shocked with the Tigers rankings in International Cricket Council (ICC) Test cricket.
Bangladesh was granted Test status on this very day by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Saber Chowdhury led the BCB delegation attended that meeting where Bangladesh were unanimously welcomed as the 10th Test-playing nation.

Bangladesh in Test cricket have not been able to perform at any level in the last 20 years, but everybody related to BCB seemed to be happy with one day international good performance.
But that also was not up to expectation in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup where the Tigers finished second last (eighth position) in the flagship competition.
The former BCB president has put up a question that the Asian rising team Afghanistan, who got Test status as the newest Test team, are above Bangladesh in T20 ranking. They beat the Tigers at their home den, where the top-fight teams have to struggle to cope with the Bangladesh team.
In such a situation, he is shocked to see the Tigers’ overall rankings in ICC Cricket. They needed to take measures for its upliftment as early as possible.
