Bangladesh pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman said that he is working hard to play across the formats in the upcoming days.

Mustafizur stormed into the one-day international scene with a five-wicket haul which handed Bangladesh an overwhelming victory against top-flight Indian side in Dhaka five years ago.

Since then, Mustafizur has been an integral part of the national side. His name and fame scattered across the world with the success of Bangladesh, who then claimed a string of victories against the top-notch teams.

He bewildered batsman with his mysterious deliveries—in-cutter, off-cutter, slower, yorker. With cutter, his slower was lethal among his deliveries after which he was named cutter-matter.

Therefore, the left-armer has also grabbed contracts in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) which gave him global fame.

Mustafizur played in the 2014 Under-19 World Cup and later in the Bangladesh ‘A’ team but he was first spotted by the national management in a random net session ahead of a home series against Pakistan in 2015.

In the one-off T20I against Pakistan, Mustafiz made an impressive international debut but became an overnight sensation after his back-to-back five-wicket hauls against India in his first two ODI matches.

However, in the recent past his dip in form forced team management to drop him from the longer version cricket and furthermore he is dropped from all the formats’ national contract.

“I want to play Test cricket again,” Mustafizur Rahman said.

“I am trying hard but at the moment I am not bowling now. Used to do before but now it’s closed,” Rahman told Cricfrenzy on Thursday.

“It has been raining a little since Amphan. I don’t have the opportunity to work anywhere. Opportunities have diminished. Doing as much as can be done inside the house,” he added.

“It must be difficult. No matter how much I work outside, it will not be easy while returning to the field. I might go back into my previous state by practicing, doing fitness regularly. Not so fast. It will take time for the rhythm to come.”

“I am on vacation now. How long a holiday will be one or two weeks but can’t sit still for so long. Certainly feel bad about it. We are the people of the field,” he signed off.
