Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque hardly have any intention of returning to practice as the risk of coronavirus is still high in Cox's Bazar.

Mominul has been staying with his family in his hometown Cox's Bazar amid the pandemic. As per the government instruction, different parts of the district have been marked as the red-zone and will be under 14-day lockdown to minimize the infections.

Despite the boards decision of reopening the stadium in some district within this week for the players to resume practice on their own responsibilities. The Test skipper is not willing to go forward with it and want to stay put at his home due to the high risk of the contagious virus.

‘Cox’s Bazar is under lockdown now. In this situation, how can I think about practice!,’ Mominul told an English daily on Saturday.

Where, due to the request of Mushfiqur Rahim and a few other cricketers the board has reached a decision to finally reopen the stadiums to let the players restart their personal training, despite warning them about the risk on first hand.

"Not only Mirpur, we are preparing our facilities outside the capital, in places like Rajshahi, Chattogram, Khulna, Sylhet and Cox’s Bazar. So that the players who live in those localities can use the facilities," BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury told media.

However, resuming the practice is also a concern for the players and board as the national team is scheduled to play three Test matches against Sri Lanka though the cloud of uncertainty is still looming around about whether it will be cancelled or postponed or will be played on the given date. The left-handed top-order batsman however said that the board hasn't informed anything about it.

"I don’t know anything about the tour. I have not heard anything yet," he said.

Sri Lanka Cricket Board, who are still without a broadcast deal, is eager to restart their international fixture by hosting Bangladesh in this coming July.
