Bangladesh iconic all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has vowed that he wants to win 50-60 matches for his country after he is eligible for selection again following his end of suspension.
The left-handed all-rounder got a two-year suspension with one suspended year for the corruption offences by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after he admitted the charges and accepted his suspension instead of a hearing.

In an interview with a leading bangle daily, the all-rounder hoped that he will come back strongly and wants to help Bangladesh win a lot more matches.
“If I have an aim, it can be to win 50-60 more matches for Bangladesh. But goals like so many centuries, so many wickets or so many milestones or playing cricket for so many years was never really on my mind,” Shakib AL Hasan said.
Citing a string of names as his favourites including AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Joe Root and Jos Buttler as batsmen while Nathan Lyon, Rabindra Jadeja and Rashid Khan as spinners, Shakib said he always tries to learn from these current crop of veteran players in the international cricket.
“I like AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Joe Root and Buttler’s batting and in bowlers, I think Nathan Lyon is very good among finger spinners, Rabindra Jadeja has made a massive improvement,” he said.
“And he proved that even after so long it is possible to improve, I think it’s a good sign. So these are the two finger-spinners. And there are many wrist-spinners who are doing very well like Rashid Khan and try to learn from them,” he concluded.
