Afif can open for Bangladesh- Owais Shah

Rajshahi Royals head coach Owais Shah feels Afif Hossain can open the batting for Bangladesh in the shortest format
Owais brought Afif at the top of their batting order and paid dividends as the left-handed played a vital part behind clinching their championship, making 370 runs for his franchise and ending up third-highest scorer for Royals.
‘’Afif is very talented we started with Zazai as an opener. But I saw something in Afif and I thought that you know what this guy can do a very good job for us. He is very talented, very confident and I thought if we use Afif at that position then we can play an extra player down the middle,’’ Shah told Cricfrenzy.
‘’Where we needed a bit more firepower. So it just worked really well. I just thought he is a young guy who had very good Under-19 and we could use him, his talent at the top of the order and look he did very well. He and Liton Das I thought complimented each other very beautifully. Like one guy would attach and other guys play nice cricket shots and I thought those guys made a very good partnership. I think those two even can open the batting for Bangladesh, I think they are very good,’’ he said.
