BCB will present their current situation in ICC meeting

Bangladesh Cricket Board Chief Executive Officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury will present the situation caused by corona in Bangladesh cricket at the ICC meeting. The ICC has called a meeting to discuss about the coronavirus situation and about future plans.
The 12 ICC member states and three associate member of ICC will discuss the issue through a teleconference of the chief executives.
BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said that they will present the scenario of Bangladesh cricket as it have changed due to the corona situation in the ICC teleconference.

Earlier due to the coronavirus pandemic Bangladesh's tour to Pakistan was postponed. Bangladesh was scheduled to play one ODI and one Test in the third phase tour to Pakistan in April.
Bangladesh team's tour of Ireland has also been delayed. The two teams were set to play four T20s in England after three ODIs in Ireland in May. Australia was scheduled to play a two-Test series at home in June. The Australia series was also postponed due to the coronavirus.
Every cricketing country like Bangladesh is facing distressed due to the pandemic. In addition to discussing the postponed series, the future plans of each cricket board will be discussed at the ICC meeting.
CEO of BCB, Nizamuddin Chowdhury said that the sole purpose of the teleconference is to share the state of every cricket board’s situation in front of others and to know when each board can start the matches again and when they are hoping to start the matches.
"The teleconference is for the purpose of exchanging information between the member countries. The objective is to share the situation of cricket in every country due to coronavirus. And in the current context, when the game can return to the field, when a country wants to return to the field, these discussions should also take place." Nizamuddin Chowdhury said that.
In this ICC meeting, it is unlikely to reach any decision on the future of cricket. The BCB chief executive does not see an opportunity to make a decision until the situation around the world returns to normal.
