Bangladesh left-handed all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan's historic bat has been sold for BDT 20 lakh to a Bangladeshi born American resident Raj.

Shakib Al Hasan has auctioned his bat which he has used in the 2019 World Cup to stand beside helpless people suffering from coronavirus. The bat was sold through the 'Auction 4 Action' page on social media Facebook.

Earlier, the base price of the bat was estimated at BDT five lakh. But final bid has been set to BDT 20 lakh

Shakib had a dream world cup in 2019 where he scored 606 runs in eight matches and was also the fifth-highest score in the whole tournament. Also had scored one thousand five hundred runs in his last one year run of his career.

The bat will be handed over to the winner after all the steps are completed. The money from the sale of the bat will be used for the welfare of helpless people through the Shakib Al Hasan Foundation.
