"I want to auction my 2019 World Cup, you can say superstitious as I tapped that bat frequently and played continuously with that one bat. Alhamdulillah, I had a great World Cup run, though I had a good World Cup with bat and ball. Then again I think I had a brilliant run with batting, so, I have put that in an auction."Shakib said that in his live video message from his official Facebook page.

The all-rounder has also said that he had used the bat for the last one year and scored around one and half thousand in all three formats of the game. And as he is not playing on-field now so he is trying to utilize his most dear bat and use it to help the people of the country.

"I think it will be memorable for those who will get it to showcase the bat at their home. Because that bat is very special to me, in a sense that not only in the World Cup, I have scored more than one and half thousand runs with this bat for the last one year including Test, ODI and T20I. So that bat is very dear to me. As I'm not playing currently so the bat is not being use for many times. So I'm trying to utilize it by putting it into an auction." Shakib added.

The left-handed all-rounder also shared the time with his fans that it would be auctioned by the Auction for Action tomorrow at around 10 pm through their Facebook page. Shakib has also asked the cricket lovers to come and participate in that auction and he also said that the money he will receive from that auction will be added into his The Shakib Al Hasan Foundation to help the needy people.

"Tomorrow at 10 pm Auction for Action will auction my bat through their page. Those who are interested, sports lover or who loves cricket can participate in this auction and the amount from this auction will entirely go into The Shakib Al Hasan Foundation with this we will try to help the needy people. So you can try to participate in this auction. I'm pretty much sure the details of this auction will be given in my foundation Facebook official page." Shakib Al Hasan concluded.

Earlier national team veteran player Mushfiqur Rahim was the first to come forward and auction his bat that he scored two centuries. After that Mohammaed Ashraful has decided to auction his famous bat and memorial of his career to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
