BCB comes forward for groundsman

The Bangladesh Cricket Board said that they have decided to give financial aid to the grounds man and field workers in the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
BCB had earlier decided to give financial benefit to non-contracted cricketers and contracted cricketers of the national women’s wing too.
Around 200 grounds man work for BCB in different grounds across the country while among them 110 grounds men are is non-contractual and 90 is contractual as well.

Contractual grounds men receive a salary is TK 12400 to per months and non-contractual workers get TK 11000 taka per month as well.
BCB president Nazmul Hasan said that they are looking forward to help out the grounds man as they feel that they are the ones to suffer the most considering they are wage is very minimum.
‘’We are taking humanity into consideration and provide financial aid to the grounds man,’’ said Nazmul on Wednesday.
‘’Firstly we gave it [financial reward] to the non-contractual cricketers team and the women's team and now we will help the scorer and grounds man as well,’’ he said.
‘’We are making a list of them and will help them accordingly. The ground man salary is low and most of them are non-contractual as well. They are not getting anything and will face huge problem in this moment. The scorer salary is very less too and we will be helping them and give them some financial benefit as well,’’ he concluded.
