Imrul ruled out for three weeks

Bangladesh national batsman Imrul Kayes ruled out for three weeks ahead of Dhaka Premier League having a fracture in his legs during a practice session recently.


Left handed batsman, Imrul, who signed for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club for the upcoming Dhaka Premier Division tournament which is all set to start form March 15, has now suffered another blow twisting his legs during a fielding session at Dhanmondi Club field, which will force him out of the for the initial part of the domestic tournament.


After suffering the blow, the batsman himself had confirmed the injury blow.

“I was in fielding practicing when I twisted my leg. X-ray report says that I have got fracture in finger. The doctor instructed to take rest for three weeks” Imrul told reporters.


Imrul earlier missed the T20 series against Pakistan despite scoring on regular basis in Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League for sustaining a hamstring injury before that series.


But the recent injury has came as a shocker for the experienced batsman as teams are set to depart Dhaka for the first three rounds of DPL in two days as first three rounds scheduled to held in Chattogram, Sylhet and Cox’s Bazar.


After suffering the injury Imrul said he was in good touch but labeled himself ‘unfortunate’ to suffer that injury.


“I had good preparation. But I have suffered another injury. Very unfortunate” the opener batsman told.
